Meandering through the poetic street Nguyen Dinh Chieu, tourists may indulge in the festive atmosphere of the resorts, hotels and restaurants as they prepare for Christmas and New Year. Beside the decorated Christmas trees, Santa Claus, snow men and ornaments, luxury resorts such as Bon Bien, Romana, Sai Gon – Mui Ne, Sea Lion and Pandanus are also offering a number of programs with a range of cultural and sports activities and other events at the end of the year.
During the Christmas holidays churches in the city will hold Christmas services. The resorts are planning parties, music festive nights and traditional art performances for Christmas and New Year celebrations, with seasonal discounts and promotions as well as attractive gifts. Tourism companies in HCMC have sold many tours to Phan Thiet City for the New Year featuring costume parties, beach games and dragon and lion dances. Cyclo tours around Phan Thiet can also be organized, as well as canoe rides on Ca Ty River.
Nguyen Van Khoa, president of the Binh Thuan Tourist Association said that the Ham Tien –Mui Ne- Phu Hai tourism area will welcome guests with an impressive greeting gate as well as promoting traffic safety, security and environmental protection in an effort to ensure a peaceful, civilized and elegant destination for tourists.
* One of charitable activities of the third annual ‘Singer’s Day’ in the central coast city of Phan Thiet was an auction of special items to raise “funds for the poor” at a Gala Dinner at the Romana Resort Phan Thiet in Binh Thuan Province.
More than 100 professional singers and business people taking part in the gala were content with the results of the meaningful auction.
Sand paintings made by deaf children in Phan Thiet City sold for US$2,000, an oil painting offered by Ukraine’s Ambassador to Vietnam sold for US$2,200, Vietnamese singer Dam Vinh Hung’s collection of 70 perfume bottles went for US$3,500, and a gun-shaped vodka bottle sold at US$16,000.
A total of US$28,700 and VND200 million, along with 10 houses of gratitude supported at the gala were given to a representative of Binh Thuan Province’s Fatherland Front Committee.
The Singer’s Day ended with the “Noi vong vay lon” (Tie our hands together) music program in Nguyen Tat Thanh Square in Phan Thiet City, honoring the beauty of the sea tourism city as well the auction activity to raise funds for the poor in the province.
